Country Heat Review | Week 1

Last week I completed Week 1 of Country Heat! I want to share with you my honest review of this brand new program from Beachbody! To be honest, I wasn't very excited about its release! I did Cize when it came out this time last year and while I thought it was fun, I really missed my weights so I didn't stick with it long enough before I went back to the 21 Day Fix! Before doing Country Heat I just completed a round of 21 Day Fix and was excited to try 21 Day Fix Extreme again because I saw some major results with it!!

Then things changed.....

Right before Country Heat's release I got to listen in on a live video conference from the creator herself, Autumn Calabrese! She was giving us the details of the test group and said that people were getting better results on Country Heat than 21 Day Fix! I couldn't believe it simply because there are no weights, no burpees, no push ups, just dancing! What?? No way!

So then I got an opportunity to do the live workout with Autumn herself at the annual Beachbody event called Summit! It was at 6am in the morning, I was in a terrible mood because I got no sleep the night before and I just do not roll well without my sleep! haha! What I found was that I was legit having fun! I felt like I had two left feet but that just made me laugh at myself even more! I was so goofy in front of 3,000 others but I didn't care because I was sweating so much! Dripping sweat!!

So I made the decision to commit. I was thinking about adding in weights but I decided not to so I can give an honest review of this program done exactly as it is intended! Week 1 is done and I had fun! I noticed I'm sweating as much as I did with the 21 Day Fix Extreme! I'm sore in my core and legs, and I'm having fun! The first day I do a new dance I mess it all up, but notice I get better the second and third time! This program even includes a move breakdown you can practice before you do the workout! Plus, unlike Cize, it is NOT choreographed.  You do two moves for eight counts, put them together for eight counts, then you move on and learn two different moves! It makes the 30 minutes go by so fast!

I'm really enjoying the meal plan too! It is JUST like the 21 Day Fix in that you use the now infamous colored container portion guides, so I just fill up the containers and eat! Game changer for my life!
